Comprehensive Pediatrics' Flu Shot Program is in operation on Saturdays, during the months of September, October and November.
We see patients and their parents for Flu Shot Immunizations 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
Walk In. Be Seen. No Appointment Necessary.
Of course, if you are unable to attend one of our flu shot sessions, a physician is available to administer the flu vaccine during any office visit.
VEP - The Visual Evoked Potential Screening Exam
The VEP exam is a specialized eye-screening tool that can be performed on children as young as 6 months of age.
This quick, simple and non-invasive test helps detect eye problems such as strabismus, lazy eye and vision
problems which can be helped by corrective lenses. It can easily be performed with an infant or child sitting
on the mother's lap. The VEP exam should be performed on a yearly basis. Early detection means better treatment.
Hearing Screening
Unilateral hearing problems are often overlooked since the child may often hear 'with the other ear'. This quick
and accurate screening test can complement the newborn screening exam that is present done on all infants born
in New York State. Illnesses, familial and otherwise, associated with progressive hearing loss can be detected early
on with regular yearly hearing examinations.
Back To School, Sports and Camp Physicals
If your yearly well visit examination is up to date, medical clearance for sports team participation as well
as school admission and summer camp physicals is only a phone call away. Please call and fax the necessary forms to us.
These will be completed and returned to you promptly. If you wish, you may also bring these forms to the office for completion.
Traveling?
Domestic Travel - Present airline regulations often require a letter from a physician when you are traveling with medication and
medical equipment such as nebulizers. Please contact us in advance of your flight.
International Travel - Traveling to various parts of the world may require special immunizations and preventative medications
such as Anti-Malarials that should be started weeks before your flight. Please contact our office and let us know your
international destination country and if you will be residing in a large city or a rural environment.
Contacting Comprehensive Pediatrics well before your departure will assure you that your children are traveling safely.
Employer Groups, Churches, Synagogues, Community Groups and More
Ask us! Comprehensive Pediatrics is here to help set up pediatric and young adult programs at
your location or in our office. Please call to discuss your group's needs.

Adolescents
As a child develops to a teenager and young adult it is important that a visit to the office is made at least
once a year for a wellness examination. This not only ensures physical and cognitive well being but is also a preventative evaluation.
