How should you prepare when visiting the doctor?

Who will you meet on your visit?

When you come in you will first meet the front desk receptionists.
They are in charge of answering the phones, making your appointments and to prepare your chart for the medical assistant.

Then you will meet the medical assistant who will prepare you to be seen by the doctor.
She will take your temperature, pulse and blood pressure; and measure your height and weight.

After you have been set up in a room the doctor will come in to see you.
The doctor makes sure that you are healthy or takes care of you when you are sick.
If you have any questions about your health, the doctor is the person to ask.

At the doctor’s office you will see many things that the doctors and medical assistants use to care for you.

Stethoscope is what the doctor uses to listen to your heart and lungs.

Otoscope is what the doctor uses to look into your ear and your throat.
